I've started stripping off the wings and pulling the engine to make way for a small chevy v8 mated to an AX15 5 speed with .79 5th gear ratio,mated to the land rover transfer box.

It will be a daily driver , long distance expedition ,and green laning .

Maximum Brake Horsepower: w/4-barrel carb: 240 @ 4800 RPM
Should get 25mpg hway with the .79 5th and 3.54 differentials from a late 80's rover
The differential pumpkins fit into the 1957 series 1
